This chart sets the gainers (those increasing oil production) against the decliners (those losing it). The latter outnumber the former, so should we award a victory on points to the losers? So say the skeptics of oil abundance.
The list of countries gaining production is also notable. The top five over the 2005-2007 period were Angola, Azerbaijan, Russia, Canada, and Iraq.
Just imagine all the scheming over those oil basins. It would be an education in world politics to just describe the ways in which those honeybees suck up to the great prize.
